Chicago's Woods to Miss Season
Saturday, September 15th, 2035
Chicago fans will be disappointed to learn that John Woods suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Chicago Gold Sox manager that Woods was expected to miss 11-12 months, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the reliever could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.

To date this year Woods has won 0 and lost 1 with a 3.18 ERA, no saves and 15 strikeouts in 14 relief appearances.
