Stingers Come Back Late to Clip Aviators
|
Seattle left fielder Walt Miller had a good game, even if his team did not. The Aviators dropped a 8-6 decision to Toledo at Pacesetter Park. Miller was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Toledo reliever An Jang-Yop picked up the win, upping his record to 7-1. Wes Hamm was saddled with the loss. Nelle Liefting closed the game out for Toledo, earning his 4th save.
Eugene Clutch hit a 2-run double off Wes Hamm in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Stingers in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Clutch had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Toledo manager TJ Reynolds.
Toledo is now 37-29, Seattle 28-38.
