Riding the 2-hit performance of the 35-year old first baseman Yataro Kodo, the Portland Evergreens stopped the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-2. Gerald Keller picked up the win with 6 innings of work. Kodo had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 curveball from Sy-ing Tah, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Evergreens a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Kodo.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Portland skipper Imran Baig. "I can't complain."
