Round 2036 Game 1 Victory for Otero\n and Portland
Facing elimination, the Portland Evergreens were looking for a savior. For today, at least, Jorge Otero delivered.

At Evergreen Park, the 28-year old pitched a game for the ages to fend off the Buckhead Bowties and help the Evergreens close their deficit in the Round 2036. Otero threw a 9-inning, complete-game shutout in the 5-0 Portland win, striking out 9 and allowing 2 hits. The Evergreens how trail - in the best-of- series.

Otero was in the zone all game. He frustrated Buckhead hitters while giving the Evergreens 9 innings of quality work. Otero threw 99 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 9 punchouts.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Otero said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Game 2 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Octavius Pringle for Buckhead and Giovanni Mireles for Portland.
