Estrada, Ft. Polk South Start 3L AA Championship Strong with Home Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks started the 3L AA Championship in style today, downing the visiting Virginia Beach Deuces at Thunder Hawks Ballpark by a score of 7-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Thunder Hawks catcher Aurelius Estrada was named player of the game after he was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

In the bottom of the second, with the game tied, the Deuces allowed the Thunder Hawks to take a 1-0 lead on a base hit and Virginia Beach error.

"This was a good win for us," said Larate. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow in Ft. Polk South. Slated to start are Terence Roberts for the Virginia Beach Deuces and Ricardo Martínez for the the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks.
