Yamasaki Handcuffs Sun Sox, Interns Seize 3-0 Advantage in R1
|
The Capital Hill Interns moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Winter Haven Sun Sox on the road at Roadrunners Stadium by a score of 6-2. Interns left-hander Jo Yamasaki was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Interns a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-5 PL R Championchip.
The Sun Sox had trouble solving Yamasaki, who surrendered 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 8 innings.
"I like the roll we're on," said Capital Hill manager Ezequiel Chosson.
