The Athletic Club KC went into extra innings against the Boston Patriots but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2 today. The Athletic Club KC downed the Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 3-2. Athletic Club KC right-hander Lester Roadley was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 9 innings of 7-hit ball. The win gives the Athletic Club KC a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
The Patriots had trouble solving Roadley, who surrendered 2 earned runs on 7 hits over 9.1 innings.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Roadley told the Athletic Club KC Today.
