Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Maskell\n and Buckhead
Facing elimination, the Buckhead Bowties were looking for a savior. For today, at least, Rhys Maskell delivered.

At 5 Paces Park, the 23-year old pitched a game for the ages to fend off the Seattle Aviators and help the Bowties close their deficit in the Round 1. Maskell threw a 9-inning, complete-game shutout in the 6-0 Buckhead win, striking out 6 and allowing 3 hits. The Bowties how trail - in the best-of- series.

Maskell was in the zone all game. He frustrated Seattle hitters while giving the Bowties 9 innings of quality work. Maskell threw 148 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 6 punchouts.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Maskell said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
