Facing elimination, the Vancouver Grey Wolves were looking for a savior. For today, at least, Andrew Moody delivered.

At Wolf Den in Vancouver, the 29-year old pitched a game for the ages to fend off the Richardson City Thundercats and help the Grey Wolves close their deficit in the Round 1. Moody threw a 9-inning, complete-game shutout in the 7-0 Vancouver win, striking out 7 and allowing no hits. The Grey Wolves how trail - in the best-of- series.

Moody allowed no runs over 9 innings. He also racked up 7 strikeouts.

"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Moody. "And vice-versa."
