Thrice as Nice: Toledo Seizes - Advantage With Late Win
|
Nashville first baseman Mario Ramos pounded Toledo pitchers at Pacesetter Park, but it was not enough to keep the Outlaws from losing in a walk-off. The Stingers fell 6-5 in Game of the Silver League Championship. Ramos was 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Outlaws slip into a - tie in the best-of- series.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Toledo center fielder Oscar McMillan, facing Kenete Daku, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Stingers the 6-5 win.
"I like our resilience," said McMillan.
