The Brooklyn Dodgers got a great start from 34-year-old right-hander Pablo De La Torre, who earned player of the game honors today as Brooklyn took the 6-5 win at The Thunder Dome over the series-leading Richardson City Thundercats. De La Torre threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball and helped Brooklyn close their deficit to games to in the best-of- series.

Tommy Dreamer had a nice at-bat for the Dodgers with no one out in the top of the tenth. With the bases empty, the second baseman reached on an error by the 3B, which would prove important in the Brooklyn win.

In postgame comments, De La Torre said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
