It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Melvin Thomas today. Thomas went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Houston pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at The Thunder Dome, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Richardson City Thundercats had a 12-11 victory over the 1837 BBC.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Melvin Thomas singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Yoriyoshi Sugimoto in the 10th.
