Northern Lions BC Edge Past Outlaws, 5-4
|
The Nashville Outlaws got a superb performance from pitcher Matthew Fallows, but the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC still won the game, 5-4. Fallows was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings allowing 4 runs. The win puts the Northern Lions BC at 21-34, while the Outlaws drop to 33-22.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With two out, Jorge Herrera hit a 2-1 slider from Kenete Daku for a run-scoring single. It put Thunder Bay in front, 5-4.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Nashville manager Ryan Naylor. "But we decided not to take it."
