The Field of the Sunchasers faithful were treated to a dramatic, walk-off win.
Amarillo shortstop Gerardo Días had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Ballard at Field of the Sunchasers. Días was 2-2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was Jan Koistinen's in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Marty Beard took the loss for Amarillo.
Sebastian Franke was the walk-off hero for Ballard. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Beavers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Amarillo skipper Javier Trujillo, "and it cost us."
Ballard now sits at 54-40, while Amarillo falls to 47-47.
