Soma 'Lights Out' in Sheridan Win
|
The Redwood Rhinos and Sheridan Deer brought some excitement to Wranglers Ballpark.
Takuro Soma was superb against Redwood. The right-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 8-5 Deer victory. Sheridan now owns a record of 50-41.
The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Soma. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Deer. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Rhinos, striking out 11 and scattering 1 hit over 7 innings. Soma is now 6-6 on the season.
"Enjoyed this one," Soma told the Sheridan Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
