Juan Rodríguez was superb against Bompton. The right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the 3R in innings pitched with 117.1, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 1-0 Rhinos victory. Redwood is now 21-69, while Bompton is 47-43.

The Rhinos liked what they saw from Rodríguez. The 19-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Baby Lakers to no earned runs on 3 hits over 8.1 innings, and striking out 11.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Rodríguez.
