Kendall, Ballard Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The Ballard Beavers got a stellar effort from pitcher Gene Kendall, helping Ballard score a 1-0 win over the visiting Phoenix Hotspur Academy. Ballard is now 52-37, Phoenix 50-39.
Kendall gave Ballard a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 7.2 innings.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Kendall told the Ballard Herald.
