The Amarillo Warheads defeated the Greenport Harbor Whales, 3-0, in M3L Rookie action at Ballpark of Henderson, with Amarillo pitcher Wilbert Gallegos named player of the game. In 6 innings, Gallegos surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Amarillo bumps their record to 40-32 with the win.

Taysir bin Mahmud's at-bat in the bottom of the third inning was a big one for Amarillo. Coming to bat with two out, runners on 2nd and 3rd and Amarillo leading 1-0, the first baseman reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 2 runs.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Gallegos. "The only team that can beat us is us."
