Amarillo Submarinos starter Stephen Palmer was in fine form against the Newcastle Mermen at Newcastle Stadium, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Wesley Mason earned his 26th save in 27 chances. Amarillo, at 42-52, sits in 5th place in the Silver R.
Enrique De La Rosa, who leads the SR in stolen bases with 32, aided the Amarillo cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
