Beavers Deal Canucks Painful Loss
|
Fans who gathered at Beaver Town saw a good contest between the Northwest Territory Beavers and Moose Jaw Canucks.
Northwest Territory Beavers starter Jeff McDermott turned in an exceptional performance against the Moose Jaw Canucks at Beaver Town, resulting in a Northwest Territory win, 3-2. The win was Terry Hall's in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Dejenie Afiba took the loss for Moose Jaw.
Jesús Beldad hit a run-scoring triple off Dejenie Afiba in the bottom of the 13th, which put the Beavers in front, 3-2. Beldad had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 6.
"It's a mindset," said McDermott. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
Moose Jaw, at 31-51, has lost 6 straight.
