Submarinos Bridle Beavers, 4-3
|
The Amarillo Submarinos bested the Northwest Territory Beavers by a score of 4-3, with second baseman Enrique De La Rosa getting the main credit. On the day, De La Rosa was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk for the Submarinos. Wesley Mason closed the game out for Amarillo, earning his 21st save. Amarillo is now 35-45, Northwest Territory 25-55.
In the bottom of the 6th, first baseman Si-xun Jin gave Amarillo the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Submarinos had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Northwest Territory pitcher Imad bin Wa'il changed that -- and Amarillo went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," De La Rosa said after the game.
