Canucks Suffer 7-1 Setback
|
Amarillo used a superb performance from starting pitcher Héctor Barrera to down the Moose Jaw Canucks, 7-1. Barrera picked up the win for Amarillo, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-7. Amarillo is now 32-39, Moose Jaw 28-43.
One of the key players for the Submarinos was catcher Junior Young, who drilled a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning. For the game, Young was 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Barrera.
