Memphis got a strong outing from Richard Arnie as the Music defeated the Montgomery Biscuits, 3-1, at Mammoths Ballpark. The save was credited to António Arellano, his 3rd. Memphis is now 31-50, while Montgomery is 20-61.
Klaas Westerduin was 2-4 with a double for Memphis. The 20-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off César González. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
Afterward, Music manager Jason Stewart was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
