Smith Rips Ogallala for 5 Hits

Adam Smith put on a hitting clinic today as the Fort Knox Centennial dumped the Ogallala Octopi 7-0 at Nebraska Aquarium.
The Fort Knox first baseman made Ogallala defenders earn their pay, lashing Ogallala pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Smith said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Adam Smith singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In 79 games Smith is hitting .265 this season with 90 hits, 8 home runs, 46 RBIs, 11 walks, .285 OBP and has scored 34 runs.
