Both teams had their chances, but the Capital Hill Interns eventually prevailed at Alouettes Ballpark.

The Capital Hill Interns did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Surprise Shockers at Alouettes Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Clarence Miller, who captured player of the game honors. In 8.1 innings, Miller surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs.

Jake Pinto aided the Capital Hill cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 2 for 3 with 2 singles.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Pinto said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Interns bumped their record to 49-25 with this latest triumph.
