Rainbow Mermaids Stumble, Lose to Outlaws
|
The Nashville Outlaws beat the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 9-4, at Atlantica. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Scott Kerin, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. John Rigsby, credited with the win, is now 3-4. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings. Getting the save was Dorian Daly, his 1st.
Mario Ramos tagged a home run off Elton Mobley in the top of the first. His solo blast put the Outlaws on top, 1-0. In all, Ramos had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Nashville manager Ryan Naylor.
The Outlaws now own a record of 27-17.
