Northern Virginia starter Elton Mobley pitched effectively against the Houston 1837 BBC at Houston Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Northern Virginia is now 22-17, Houston 22-17.

Northern Virginia grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Gil Andersen delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Rainbow Mermaids.
