Rhinos Turn Back Gibtown, 3-2
|
Redwood Rhinos starter Ramón Ramírez was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Gibtown Elephants, 3-2. Marnix de Jonge finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The win leaves Redwood with a record of 2-2.
Jorge Japón was 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Redwood. The 18-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jonathan Lentz. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Japón told the Redwood Chronicle.
