Coeur Win Thriller, 6-5
|
St. Louis second baseman Nobuhisa Murakami played a vital role in his team's 6-5 triumph over Nashville. He went 4-7 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for St. Louis. With the win, St. Louis has a record of 18-19. Nashville falls to 22-15.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when St. Louis right fielder Jesús Guillén, facing Jack Joyner, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Coeur the 6-5 win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Guillén told the St. Louis Times.
