Mermen Topple Beavers with Late Rally

Newcastle pitcher Tetsuzan Miyata did his part in helping his team beat the Northwest Territory Beavers, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Miyata picked up the win for Newcastle, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. The Mermen raised their record to 22-44.
Juan Ocasio had the most critical at-bat for Newcastle. With no one in the top of the ninth inning, Ocasio hit a 2-0 fastball from Imad bin Wa'il for a 2-run double. It put Newcastle in front, 4-2.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Miyata told the Newcastle Citizen.
