Alves K's 11 En Route to 2-0 Canucks Win
|
Robert Alves pitched a gem to lead Moose Jaw to a 2-0 victory over the Germantown Uruguayans. Even with the win, the Canucks have a dismal 21-39 record.
Alves was in the zone all game. He frustrated Germantown hitters while giving the Canucks 7.1 innings of quality work. Alves threw 102 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 11 punchouts.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Canucks manager Wynn Burton. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
