Polonius on Fire, Strikes out 15 Beavers
|
Ryson Polonius of the Ladue Rams put on a pitching clinic today at Ballpark of Wellsville as he struck out 15 Northwest Territory Beavers in a 8-2 victory. Polonius, who is tied for 8th in the SR with a 10.2 K/9 rate, was simply magnificent as he held the Beavers to 4 hits. He walked 3.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Polonius said, "but eventually my curveball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Polonius's performance, Rams manager Henry Henderson shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
To this point in the season, Polonius shows a 8-1 record, 11 starts, 80 innings, 91 strikeouts and a 3.15 ERA.
