Fire Raise Rally Flag, Beat Northwest Territory, 5-4

Fans who came to Lawmen Ballpark watched the Franklin Fire and the Northwest Territory Beavers fight to the finish.
Franklin first baseman Ling-lai Ding made his presence felt in the 5-4 Fire triumph over the Northwest Territory Beavers. Ding went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Beavers, at 19-35, have lost 4 straight games.
John Billings was the walk-off hero for Franklin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fire right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Ding said.
