McDermott K's 10 En Route to 3-0 Beavers Win
|
Northwest Territory and Newcastle duked it out at Newcastle Stadium and the Beavers came out victorious.
The Northwest Territory Beavers defeated the Newcastle Mermen, 3-0, in USSL Rookie action at Newcastle Stadium, with Northwest Territory pitcher Jeff McDermott named player of the game. The last-place Mermen have lost 8 consecutive games.
McDermott, who was born in Santa Ana, California, threw 114 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Northwest Territory manager Dexter Shannon. "It's usually not just one thing."
