The Submarinos faced a stiff challenge from Santa Fe pitcher Gerardo Hernández, but persevered to claim a win at Terriers Ballpark. The final score was 1-0. Hernández went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Larry Barry picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Gerardo Hernández was tagged with the loss. Amarillo bumps their record to 14-21 with the win.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Micah Nelson was at the plate when Amarillo scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Submarinos to go in front, 1-0.
