Submarinos Roll Over Mermen, 9-1

With left fielder Enrique De La Rosa leading the charge, the Amarillo Submarinos defeated the Newcastle Mermen, 9-1, at Newcastle Stadium. De La Rosa, who is tied for 2nd in the SR in stolen bases with 8, went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Amarillo reliever Hui Ruan picked up the win to move to 1-1. Foeke Advocaat suffered the loss. Amarillo is now 13-20.
Tso-lin Shuo hit a run-scoring triple off Foeke Advocaat in the top of the first, which put the Submarinos in front, 1-0. Shuo had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"Enjoyed this one," Shuo told the Amarillo Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
