Coeur Lose to Aviators, 4-3
|
The Seattle Aviators picked up a win at The BFIB, knocking off the St. Louis Coeur, 4-3. On the mound for Seattle was right-hander Ren-qing Weng, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Wes Hamm in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Folkert van Huizen took the loss. Seattle bumps their record to 13-20 with the win.
Pedro Corona had the most critical at-bat for Seattle. With one in the top of the ninth inning, Corona hit a 2-2 cutter from Folkert van Huizen for a run-scoring double. It put Seattle in front, 4-3.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said St. Louis skipper Scott McMahon.
