Manuel Carmona added some punch to the Boston offense, helping them outmuscle the Las Vegas Flamingos, 9-8. In the game, Carmona, who is tied for 6th in the PL in doubles with 4, was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The win gives Boston a record of 7-7.

Carmona contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Boston in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 8-5, Carmona took a fastball from Christian Mustard and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Patriots to leap in front, 9-8.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
