Capital Hill Interns starter Clarence Miller was in fine form against the Valley View Cougars at Hillandale Grounds, leading his team to a 5-3 win. Miller, now 10-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. The save was credited to Yushua Wazir, his 3rd.
Gilberto Ramírez, who is tied for 3rd in the PR in doubles with 23, contributed to the Capital Hill win with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We did a lot of things right," said Miller.
