Ellesmere Island Snowpeople starter Zi-cheng Yang was in fine form against the Capital Hill Interns at Corpus Christi Grounds, leading his team to a 3-2 win. George Kipcak picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Clarence Miller was tagged with the loss. Ellesmere Island, at 32-29, occupies 5th place in the Premier R.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Ellesmere Island trailing 2-1, Ryung Jae-Wook hit a fastball from Jason Long to center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Snowpeople had a walk-off win.

Yang told a Ellesmere Island Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
