Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Montgomery Biscuits and the Fort Knox Centennial.
The Montgomery Biscuits bested the Fort Knox Centennial by a score of 6-5, with center fielder Joel Iyiegbuniwe getting the main credit. On the day, Iyiegbuniwe went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Biscuits. Getting the save was Samuel Tuffley, his 1st.
Montgomery grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Iyiegbuniwe, the 27 overall pick in the 2035 draft, hit a 2-run single. His 52nd hit of the season put the Biscuits out in front, 6-4.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Montgomery manager Chris Nelson.
Montgomery is now 13-41. Fort Knox is 27-27.
