Octopi Win at Crowley, 5-3
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Keng-chi Nao, the Ogallala Octopi defeated the Crowley Cajuns, 5-3. Nao went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Octopi. The save went to Katsunan Saito, his 4th this season. The Octopi' win now puts them at 22-31.
In the top of the 6th, first baseman Dave Hill gave Ogallala the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Octopi had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out double off Crowley pitcher Gerhard Karge changed that -- and Ogallala went on to win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Nao said after the game.
