The Octopi had to overcome a good performance from Valley View pitcher Malcolm Bullard to claim a 5-4 win at Nebraska Aquarium. Bullard went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. With the win, Ogallala has a record of 18-28. Valley View falls to 28-18.
Alejandro Cantú had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Octopi. Coming up with the bases loaded and Ogallala trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.
"I was a little disappointed," said Valley View manager Will Thomas. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
