Capital Hill pitcher Hwa-pyung Yi gave the Centennial all they could handle, but in the end, Fort Knox left Alouettes Ballpark with a 3-2 win. Yi allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings. Fort Knox reliever Jorge Gil got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Donny Zuidgeest was tagged with the loss. The Centennial saw their record improve to 20-25.
Corey Ollerton had a nice at-bat for the Centennial with one out in the top of the 11th. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the designated hitter drew a walk, which would prove important in the Fort Knox win.
"We'll savor this win," Ollerton told the Fort Knox Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
