Cougars Raise Rally Flag, Beat Memphis, 6-3
|
Valley View right-hander Ronald Hall made an effective start against the Memphis Music at Mammoths Ballpark, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Hall, now 3-4, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Peter Routledge got credit for the save for Valley View. It was his 10th of the year.
Marc Cadiou hit a bases-clearing triple off Brant Mielke in the top of the ninth, which put the Cougars in front, 6-3. Cadiou had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Hall.
Valley View occupies 4th place in the Premier R at 20-15.
