Centennial Stymie Montgomery, Take 4-1 Win
|
It was a fun time at Ballpark of Baxter, where the Montgomery Biscuits and Fort Knox Centennial tangled.
Rio Dring pitched a gem to lead Fort Knox to a 4-1 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits. The Biscuits, at 8-26, have lost 6 in a row.
The Centennial got a big at-bat from designated hitter Corey Ollerton. For the game, Ollerton went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Fort Knox a 4-1 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ollerton, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
