Centennial Lose, 4-2, at Nebraska Aquarium
|
The Ogallala Octopi picked up a win at Nebraska Aquarium, knocking off the Fort Knox Centennial, 4-2. Starting pitcher Joe Smith, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Picking up the save was Katsunan Saito, his 1st. Ogallala is now 9-15, Fort Knox 11-13.
David Stone came through for Ogallala with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. The second baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 RBI.
Stone told a Ogallala Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
