Flores Rips Surprise for 5 Hits
|
Snowpeople second baseman Enrique Flores had his way with Surprise pitching today at ïAbbots Ballpark and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Shockers ruined his great day by toppling the Snowpeople, 11-4.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Surprise credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Flores did today," Shockers skipper Desmond Woodford said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Enrique Flores doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In 18 games Flores is hitting .368 this season with 25 hits, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, 7 walks, .442 OBP and has scored 16 runs.
