Shockers Topple Sun Sox with Late Rally

Garrett Crocker had a good game, but he could not keep the Winter Haven Sun Sox from falling, 6-5, to the Surprise Shockers at Roadrunners Stadium. The Winter Haven center fielder was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times in the loss. Joe Martin picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-0. He struck out 5 in 8 innings. Earning his 6th save of the year was Henry Burge.
Surprise used the timely hitting of Yin-fat Fou to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Shockers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Fou.
Surprise now owns a record of 13-8.
