The Valley View Cougars topped the Montgomery Biscuits, 14-5, with youngster Yannick Gabriel playing a key role. Gabriel went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Cougars in the win. The win pushes Valley View to a record of 11-8.

Gabriel had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Wilford Barnes, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Cougars a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Gabriel.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Gabriel told reporters after the game.
